Judy Hudson (Born 1960- ) is a Melbourne based, photographic artist whose works explore the feminine through a mood of solitude and elusiveness.

 

Inspired by the motifs and symbolism of romanticism, Hudson aims to depict a sense of classical timelessness rendered through the sensitive use of light and dark to create elusive images that invite the viewer to quietly ponder in silent solitude.

Her works explore the complexity of the feminine through figurative and self portraiture images; soulful and melancholy, inviting the viewer into a secret and personal world whilst depicting an ethereal presence. 

 

“ I am interested in eliciting an emotional response, a moment to draw the viewer into a private world for a quiet moment of reflection.
